Safety policy
Train smart. Land soft.
Pole dance is a demanding sport. Vixen is a study and planning tool — it doesn't replace a qualified instructor or a spotter.
Before you train
- Check your pole is installed to the manufacturer's spec and locked before every session.
- Use a crash mat for anything inverted or off the floor.
- Warm up. Every program in Vixen starts with one for a reason.
- If you have an injury, are pregnant or have a medical condition, talk to a doctor first.
Respect the prerequisites
Every move in Vixen lists what to build first. If you're not ready, the move is marked "not ready yet". Attempting moves several steps ahead is the most common way pole dancers get hurt.
Learn inverts with a human
We strongly recommend learning your first inverts, drops and anything involving a release with an instructor present, and using Vixen to review and practise between classes.
